Art show season in

Michigan was over before

it even began

The Michigan art fair scene makes its first tentative starts in mid-March and eventually picks up steam in May. As of this moment, every art fair and craft show has been cancelled well into late August. It will be September or later before the first show of 2020.

We are trying to uncancel our livelihoods.

Owner of the Mighty Mitten  / Founder of the Great Michigan Online Art Fair

Art fairs and craft shows are the best—if not the only—way for many artists to get their work in front of the public. This is where we sell our work and make a living. This is how we meet new customers.

This is no longer possible.

This virtual art fair creates a space for some of Michigan's most exciting artists to be seen and supported. It's a chance for us to show and sell our work to new people. It's a chance for the public to meet and celebrate new artists. The Great Michigan Online Art Fair (I know, it's a mouthful) is not the solution to a cancelled show season, but hopefully it's a fun way to connect folks with artists, and for those artists to un-cancel a fraction of their summer income.

I'm proud of the group of artists who have made this show possible, and I hope you will please take the time to see what they have to offer.

Thank you so much for your support!
